Iguazu Falls is one of the most impressive waterfalls in the world. It's made up of 275 waterfalls and spans 1.7 miles — that's twice as tall and three times as wide as Niagara Falls.

A staggering amount of water flows from the falls, which sit on the border of Argentina and Brazil. Depending on the time of year, it can be enough to fill five Olympic swimming pools per second. The falls are both a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and were named one of the seven new wonders of the world in 2011.

Visitors can enjoy the falls by speedboat, but should be prepared to get soaked since the boats pass directly under the falls.
