Deciding what you want to bring and what you can bring can be a tough call when it comes to packing for a camping trip.
Do I want to bring my grill with me? Yes. Can I bring my grill with me? Well, seeing as there is a three-mile hike to the campsite, the answer is a resounding no.
The most important factor in choosing what gear to bring on a trip is portability. Is it light and small enough to fit within the confines of my backpack, or at the very least, is it easy to carry?
Don't worry, we wouldn't ask these questions if we didn't feel like we had the answers to them. The right gear is out there. Whether you're driving, hiking, or canoeing toward your campsite, we can all appreciate the value of space- and weight-efficient gear.
Next time you go camping make sure you've got the right equipment. Below, we've assembled the products we think are the best to have with you on your next trip into the woods.

A chair
The Helinox Ultra-Light is a great camping chair because of its light three-pound frame, its full 360-degree swivel, and the tiny bag it fits into. Most lawn chairs have a fair bit of heft to them, or, at the very least, are ungainly and need to be carried over the shoulder. Saving yourself the trouble of a heavy chair just means more room for other equipment.
Helinox Ultra-Light Portable Chair, $127.98, available at Huckberry.
Lights
The Luminoodle LED Light Rope is a better lighting solution than any lamps you'd bring camping, because it offers more options. The Light Rope can be extended and hung at its five-foot-long length or bunched together in a bag to function like any other lantern.
Luminoodle Portable LED Light Rope, $19.99, available at Amazon.
A camp stove
With just a few twigs, this camp stove can get you a fire that will boil water and charge your phone at the same time. Roughly the size of a one-liter water bottle, this device only weighs two pounds, so it won't weigh you down dramatically. If you're looking for a different fire than the traditional "roughing it" fire, with the added bonus of a phone charge out in the wilderness, give the BioLite Camp Stove a try.
BioLite Camp Stove, $129.95 available at Huckberry or Amazon.
